Playscheme

Running since 2017, the Playscheme programme provides an ongoing range of inclusive school holiday activities suitable for young people across the district. From Summer 2020 we have been supporting Barnsley Council with their short breaks holiday provision.

2022
Where: The Moon, Market Hall, Wakefield
When: 29th August 2019
Working in collaboration with CoActive, funded by Wakefield Council, this exciting opportunity for groups accross the district to create and perform at the Theatre of the Moon event.
Where: The Old Quarry Adventure Playground
When: Ongoing starting July 2019
Working with a group of young people from the ADDY in Knottingley, and funded by Nova, this project gives the young people an opportunity to create a live performance, an advert, and write and record a song focussing on lung health.
Where: National Coal Mining Museum, Wakefield Museum, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, and The Hepworth Gallery.

In collaboration with Evoke Media and funded by Culture Cures, using a variety of young people from accross the city, they have experienced and created films based on their thoughts and feelings of a variety of locations across Wakefield, these include; the Coal Mining Museum, Wakefield Museum, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, and the Hepworth Gallery.

Continuing our work with the young people of Lupset and Eastmoor, and funded by Culture Cures, we've had a jam-packed summer of amazing events, including performing at The Youth Festival, National Coal Mining Museum.
Where: Centre for Creativity
When: 22nd June 2019
Funded by Culture Cures and working in collaboration with Theatre Royal Wakefield, we worked with four diverse groups across the city, exploring eachothers stories, culminating in a performance of these shared stories in June at the Centre of Creativity.
Where: St. Swithens Community Centre

Funded by Culture Cures we worked with the young people of Eastmoor supported by the young people of Lupset, to create a festival celebrating their community in June. This event was based on local stories and had varying activities and performances for all ages.

Young people of Lupset and Eastmoor performed in the main marquee at the Long Division Festival 2019. This was an amazing opportunitiy for our young members.

This two day event allows the young people of Eastmoor & Lupset to explore eachothers communities, the young people have organised the jam packed two days featuring treasure hunts, a choir, art, and drama.

Premiering on 3rd April 2019, this short film is the second project created from "Luppo Events" a brand devised by the young people of Lupset.
2018
Luppo Events organised the St. Georges Christmas Fair, funded by Culture Cures, activities included Santa, Messy Church, Disco, Stalls. Raising money for Wakefield Food Bank.
Funded by Culture Cures, we took a group of young people based on Lupset, we spent some time considering our aspirations, which lead us to meeting a selection of inspiring lecturers who told us about their life and career journey.
A festival funded by Culture Cures, celebrating the community and their stories. The young people created performances that highlighted the life and love of Lupset.
A Culture Cures project targeted at pre-school children in Airedale supporting and encouraging the development of literacy and school readiness. This project was a colaboration with the Hepworth Wakefield and Theatre Royal Wakefield.
Working with past and present students of Camphill Wakefield we devised a piece of theatre aimed at expressing how individuals feel with regards to personal space and the way they are viewed by others. This piece toured to several venues including Schools and Community Centres, as well as the Hepworth Wakefield.

A project where adults with learning disabilities created a documentary about Wakefield, they also created a music video based at the Hepworth
